I like to draw stuff // Co-editor of Dirty Diamonds, an all-girl comic anthology
I still think my joke from yesterday is funny, so keep on getting some sweet discounts!
Cyber? I barely know her! But if you put on your robe and the code WIZARDHAT, you can take 25% off (slowly) at my Storenvy store! http://kellyp.storenvy.com
YO IT’S TIME go grab my new comic - THE EDGE - from gumroad right now for exactly $0 (or more if you’re so inclined). This is my latest and first fictional(!) comic from my third year doing the 24 Hour Comic Challenge!
I’ve been documenting my pretty boring trip to Chicago to visit my brother with my mom. Too much family time + too little alcohol intake = disgruntlement and shitty photoshop drawings
I am terrible at tumblr, but I still love you all. So here’s a preview of the comic I made for this year’s 24-Hour Comic Day (not very cleaned-up), which will be available next week as a pay-what-you-want PDF since I won’t be tabling again till April at Asbury Park Comic Con.
This weekend, I’ll be hosting the 24-Hour Comic Challenge in Philly! Swing by Atomic City Comics at 638 South Street any time between NOON on Oct. 19th and NOON on Oct. 20th to see 7 local artists face some serious psychosis as we attempt to create a 24 page comic from scratch in a measly 24 hours. Come by at the very end to see who was triumphant!

DIRTY DIAMONDS will be at our home base in Philly Oct. 5th for Locust Moon Comics Festival!! Come visit editor Kelly Phillips and tons of other rad folks! http://locustmoonfest.com/
SPX is but a distant dream, but MICE is full-steam ahead!
Come see Dirty Diamonds editors and contributors Kelly Phillips and Claire Folkman, along with the indefatigable Carey Pietsch, in Cambridge, MA this weekend! We (meaning poor Kelly) are driving all the way up from Philly for this, folks!! (guh)
And for all you local Philadelphia inhabitants, don’t forget the upcoming Locust Moon Comics Fest on Oct. 5th!
AAAAND! Kelly Phillips will be hosting this year’s 24 HOUR COMIC DAY CHALLENGE at Atomic City Comics on South Street on Oct. 19th, where you’ll be able to come see fantastic local cartoonists in action. Stay tuned for more details…
Politically correct cat-calls!
I drew these months ago for a benefit show for a women’s shelter, never got around to posting them. After my own brush with some assholes this week, it seems pretty timely to put em up now!
In case you missed it debut at SPX, you’ll have another chance to get your hands on “Oh, The Things You Won’t Know!” at MICE in Boston next weekend! My co-editor Claire Folkman and I, along with the lovely Carey Pietsch, will be making the trek up from Philly and tabling all weekend, Sept. 28-29, so come by and say hello if you’ll be there!
I’ll also be exhibiting at Locust Moon Comics Fest on Oct. 5th right here in West Philly! How can’t you love a con (not to mention a comic book shop) that’s only a few blocks from your house? :) This is the biggest indie comic event the city has to offer, so stop on by and show your support!
And if you JUST CAN’T WAIT - it’s now available for pre-order at my store! Click here. It’ll go on sale and ship out as soon as my con season is through and I’ve gotten my head back on straight.
I’ll post soon about our trip to SPX. In short - AH IT WAS AMAZING!
Spent most of my Labor Day weekend holed up finishing up inking “Oh The Things You Won’t Know!” and blasting cheesy 70s & 80s pop music through my TV to what I’m sure was the dismay of my neighbors. Slow down party fiend.
A little over a week till this debuts at SPX! (ack)
A Seussical ode to a drunk girl’s night out. Full-color fun she’ll know nothing about.
"Oh, the Things You Won’t Know!"
Debuting at SPX next month :)
